Manston Parish Council Meetings are held at the RAF Manston History Museum on the junction of Spitfire Way and Manston Road (not at the Spitfire Museum).
Manston Parish is in the centre of the Isle of Thanet and includes the village of Manston, situated a mile to the north west of Ramsgate in East Kent, as well as the hamlets of Haine, Lydden, Woodchurch and Shottendane. The name is derived from the original Mannestone. The photograph above shows the High Street early in the last century.
